The Lowdown on Your Data: The VibeQuiz Privacy Policy

VibeQuiz is built on a simple belief: gift giving should feel personal and human (and your data should be treated the same way) No creepy tracking, no cross-site profiling, no ads following you. Just vibes.

This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep your information safe.

We collect the minimum info needed to make VibeQuiz work smoothly and support independent shops.

A) When you take a quiz

• We collect: your quiz answers and the vibe result.
• We dont collect: your name, email, IP address, or any identifiers.

Your answers stay anonymous. They cant be linked back to you.

B) When you leave a one-line love note

• We collect: the message you write + the vibe/shop/gift meta.
• We dont collect: personal data of any kind.

These notes are stored as anonymous feedback to brighten an indie makers day.

C) When you submit the partner sign-up form

This form is powered by HubSpot.

• We collect: your name, email, shop name, and website (optional).
• Stored in: HubSpot (EU region).
• Used for: responding and communicating about potential partnerships.

We dont sell, rent, or share this data with anyone else.

D) Analytics (Plausible)

We use Plausible Analytics, a cookie-free, privacy-focused analytics tool.

Plausible collects aggregated, anonymous stats such as:

• page views
• referrers
• device type (e.g., mobile vs desktop)
• country-level location

Plausible does not collect IP addresses, cookies, user profiles, or anything personally identifying.

3. Cookies

VibeQuiz does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. The only cookies you may encounter come from HubSpot if you use the partner sign-up form, since the form requires functional cookies to operate.

4. Where Your Data Lives

• The main website: hosted on Krystal (UK).
• Analytics: processed by Plausible (EU).
• Partner form submissions: stored in HubSpot (EU).
• Love notes: stored via Google Apps Script without personal data.

5. Why We Collect Information

Solely to make the experience work:

• to calculate vibe results
• to match indie gifts to quiz outcomes
• to help indie shops through anonymous feedback
• to reply to partnership enquiries
• to understand which pages people enjoy (anonymously)

6. How Long We Keep Information

• Partner sign-up data: kept until you ask us to delete it.
• Anonymous analytics: stored in aggregated form only.
• Love notes: kept indefinitely (no personal data involved).
• Quiz answers: not stored in any personally identifiable way.

7. Your Rights (UK GDPR)

You can ask us to:

• provide a copy of any personal data we hold
• delete it
• correct it
• stop using it
